Mildura Rural City Council promotes good communication and strong relationships between parents and children. This positive approach to parenting helps parents promote their children’s development and manage their children’s behaviour in a constructive and caring way.

122 Ninth St, Mildura. Offers financial assistance and mentoring for young people in the Mallee; to assist them to achieve goals regardless of their financial circumstances.
CSA is responsible for administering Australia's Child Support Scheme, supporting separated parents to transfer payments for the benefit of their children.
105 Lemon Ave, Mildura. Information and referral is available to help families strengthen relationships and deal with relationship difficulties. Where families separate, information, advice and dispute resolution (mediation) is provided to parents, to help them reach an agreement on parenting arrangements without going to court.
Family Support Services 122 Ninth St, Mildura. Services include, Enhanced Family Support; and Family Support. Work centres around helping ‘at risk’ families improve parenting skills, and seeks to enhance family strengths and skills. Out of home Care is a home based placement service which arranges care for children 12 years and under who cannot live at home for a variety of reasons. The Family Preservation Program is home-based, offering intensive support for a three month period; working towards educating families.
105 Lemon Ave Mildura. Assisting men to balance work, relationship and family issues. Men’s support groups are also held regularly.
108-116 Madden Ave, Mildura. Family services. Maternal and childcare, playgrounds, toy libraries, playgroups, baby settling program, and positive parenting program.
The service is free to all residents with new babies and young children, and is staffed by Maternal and Child Health Nurses who are qualified, registered general nurses and midwives with special training in Maternal and Child Health. Nurses monitor all areas of child health, growth and development from birth to school age.
Short term counselling for people caring for a relative or friend whom is frail aged, with dementia; has a disability; receiving palliative care; has a mental illness; or with challenging behaviour.
105 Lemon Ave, Mildura. This program aims to support families through separation, and can assist separating families to sort out arrangements for the children, by assisting individuals and families to deal with their personal issues.
48 Twelfth St, Mildura. Services include a young mum’s program, national youth week activities, RAPS (relatives as parents support group), school focussed youth services, and school holiday programs.
