NSW Staying Home, Feeling Safe Program

An extension to MASP Homelessness program is the Domestic Violence Enhancement Response Program called Staying home, feeling safe. This program compliments the Homelessness program which provides support and assistance to those that are homeless and/or risk of homelessness including people experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence.

The program goes one step further and supports victims that return to the family home after a family violence incident with/without the perpetrator present. The government recognises that women and children who are currently residing/returning to a family violence household need support also to remain safe.

This program assists and support victims of violence to stay home safely. This program provides practical support such as:

• safety planning
• legal/court assistance
• information & referrals to other services
• support to children
• assistance to manage finances
• improved home security.
