MASP are currently looking for nominations for volunteer Board Directors who share our vision to be the leader for our community in overcoming adversity, unlocking potential and embodying hope.
MASP is a not-for-profit community-based organisation with a long history of service provision to disadvantaged and vulnerable members of our community. We deliver a range of services to children, youth, families and people with a disability.
We are currently looking for up to five volunteer Board Directors to join us. You may join for a term of up to three years with an option to be eligible for up to two further terms. The role carries the expectations of a NFP Board Director in providing strategic direction, oversight, and working with the CEO to implement the organisation’s strategic objectives. Key skills that have been identified that will provide a solid mix of knowledge and depth of experience to the Board will be highly sought after in any of the following areas:
- Youth and Youth Justice
- Community and Social Inclusion
- Technology and operating systems
- Cultural diversity
- Clinical governance
Experience in the community services sector, board governance or board committees is desired but not essential.
MASP focus on outcomes for our clients and seek therapeutic models of care and a trauma-informed approach. We seek to be the benchmark organisation by which others model themselves. Further details about MASP can be found on MASP’s website www.masp.org.au.
We welcome nominations from community members with sound judgement and integrity who share our vision. Nominations for Board Directors are provided to MASP members for approval and appointment at the MASP AGM on 17 November 2021. We value diversity of thought and experience and believe that our inclusive and collaborative culture contributes to our success.
The MASP Board meet monthly in the evenings on the first Tuesday of the month in Mildura (or virtually depending on government restrictions) – January to December. Board members are expected to serve on board sub committees and ad hoc working groups from time to time, which meet on an as-required basis.
