Practice Leader – Therapeutic and Trauma Informed Services

Do you have what it takes to ensure MASP becomes a leader in our field when it comes to delivering trauma-informed and therapeutic services to our clients?
We are seeking applications from suitably skilled and qualified candidates who are excited about putting their stamp on a brand new position and believe they have what it takes to:

• consult, coach, mentor and lead people;
• manage change and implement therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches across all MASP services.

The Practice Leader reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key aspects of the role include:

• leading systems change through policy development, strategies and processes which build the capacity of MASP and its staff to operate within a trauma-informed framework;
• assisting to improve outcomes for clients with complex behaviours;
• contributing to the development of evidence-based trauma-informed and therapeutic systems of service delivery;
• contributing to robust clinical governance systems by regularly presenting a thematic analysis of client behaviours and trends and developing appropriate interventions and responses;
• assisting the organisation to ensure we are best supporting the emotional, physical and psychological needs of the children and young people we work with;
• providing support and critical incident debriefing for staff and carers exposed to direct or vicarious trauma.

Essential

• Strong understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed practice and its relationship to our services.
• A Degree in Behavioural or Social Sciences.
• Previous experience in a leadership role where you influenced positive client outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in developing new service models to meet current and emerging trends.
• Courage and interpersonal skills to initiate, develop, and manage change.
• Personal drive and initiative to succeed and get the job done.
• Collaboration skills with clients, work colleagues, other organisations and government departments.
• Significant change management experience and strong interpersonal skills allowing strong engagement with carers, the staff at all levels and stakeholders.
